Griefing on a global scale

World of Warcraft hit by DDoS attack on expansion launch day

Due to heavy snow I was home and able to play yesterday morning, but I was unable to logon in the evening.  It just hung at connecting to server.  So I watched the World of Warcraft: Looking for Group Documentary again on the TV in the living room.
This morning I was checking Twitter and saw the reason why I could not get logged into my server.  I thought it was just a huge number of returning players.  It reminded me of the original launch of Vanilla, where Blizzard was scrambling to put up servers as the game grew exponentially in popularity.
If you are unable to log into WOW do what I did and watch World of Warcraft: Looking for Group Documentary and enjoy the nostalgia.
